HANAKAGE (Cherry blossoms)
Year: 1932
Composer: Shukei Oomura
Poet: Yoshikazu Toyoda

original lyrics :

On the night of the full moon, alone
my sister was dressed as a bride.
She stood within cherry blossoms
falling like a snow storm. And she was
gone in a rickshaw, through the storm.

On the night of the full moon, alone
you were watching as I cried in the storm
of cherry blossoms, falling like snow.
I spoke my last good byes to my sister,
a new bride.

On the night of the full moon, alone
behind the cherry blossoms storm. She is
gone, and now far away to another
village. And I truly become
all alone.

about

MICHEL BANANES JR Bordeaux, France

His right hand runs jazz phrases in a dazzling and hilarious fashion, his left hand lays algorithmic and synthesis.
An instinctive musician, he shapes his melody with a chainsaw, blending opposing influences.
His journey both in visual Art & music has made his musical universe a place of collages, frictions, of interlopes where the contexts collide in a charming chaos.
